Work History:

Shaw Elementary School Intensive Resource teacher 3-5 05/08 to current

Manage an intensive resource program for school of 390 students. Caseload is around 10 students of varying disabilities from cognitively impaired to physical disabilities. Direct, deliver and write IEP’s for students. Work collaboratively with teachers to implement a response to intervention program and around an inclusionary model of curriculum delivery. Extracurricular duties include: basketball coach, chess coach, talented and gifted advocate/teacher. Site administrative substitute for principal. Manage 3 full time para-professionals.


Ridgecrest Elementary School Resource Teacher k-6 5/06 to 05/08

Managed k-6 resource program for school of 500 students. Caseload was around 35 students of varying disabilities. Directed individualized curricular programs and wrote IEP’s for each student, familiar with Goalview software. Certified to administer Woodcock Johnson III tests, as well as Toni III IQ tests. Was in charge of special education referrals, testing and eligibility. Managed two part time para-professionals.


University of Utah Alternative Format Coordinator 01/03 to 5/04

Directed and coordinated alternative text formats for disabled University students. Managed and maintained database containing student profiles, student text log, student course schedules, and student reader log. I also served as liaison between Center for Disability Services and University Bookstore, facilitated and implemented library loan program.
